A complete systematic and structural check of your Compacting or Baling Equipment is broken down as the following:
Hydraulic System
  • Visual inspection for leaks while the system is pressurized.
  • Check oil level.

  • Top up oil as required (up to 5 litres)
Please note: All oil exceeding 5 litres will be a $5.00/ litre charge to the customer.
  • Clean hydraulic oil strainer and check oil for contamination.
  • Manually test all hydraulic components.
  • Check all hoses and piping for chafing, rubbing, or other deterioration and damage.
  • Visually check and adjust system operating pressures to manufacturers standards (if applicable).
Please note:
Although our primary focus is to ensure that your equipment is operating safely, we also look at the performance of the equipment. Realizing that most service interruptions occur within the hydraulic system, AtSource Recycling Systems Corp. service technicians can determine whether the hydraulic fluid is contaminated. It is a proven fact that 70% of all hydraulic systems failure is due to contaminated oil (dirt, water, etc).

Electrical System
  • Check and retorque all electrical connections.
  • Inspect for corrosion on all electrical components and connections.
  • Inspect panel seal for cracks, splits, etc.
  • Check and adjust all limit switches.
  • Clean off electrical photo-eyes and reflector shields.
  • Ensure all switches and lights are functioning and properly labeled.
  • Perform all manual and automatic functions to ensure equipment is operating at full potential.
  • Ensure all operating personnel are fully aware of all safety and operating procedures.

Structural Integrity Inspection
  • Inspect and retorque all bolts and fasteners, etc.
  • Inspect all fasteners (pins), etc. for excessive wear and fatigue.
  • Visual inspection of all welds and critical stress points while under load/ pressure.
  • Inspect all chains and springs for excessive stretch and wear.
  • Lube all chains, springs and ratchets.
  • Ensure all guides are free of obstructions.
  • Ensure all moving parts are operating freely.
  • Lube all major moving parts, i.e. Bulkhead, packing ram, sidewalls, etc.
